A vendor MCP connects Claude to one system. Ask it about that system and it answers well — it is talking to the authoritative source over a full API. Synthesis connects Claude to a model of your whole business: every channel, plus the calls, emails and files that explain the numbers, plus memory of every answer it has already given you.
They are not competing for the same slot, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. Most serious operators should run both.
